The London Transport Museum, which hosts one of the world's most important collections of graphic art, asked illustrators to draw the links between cycling in the capital, environment issues, health and fun. Work at the station has recently uncovered these amazing advertising posters in non-public areas and that date from c1956 - 1959 when the station's lifts were removed and replaced by escalators. These are in an old lift passageway. Here a variety of posters can be seen - some are London Transport's own posters such as the 'elephant' by Victor Galbraith - but...

McDonalds ran a digital outdoor ad in London recently which encouraged people to snap a photo of the billboard at the moment it featured a McDonald's product, then head in-store with your pic to claim it for free. A nice simple idea and great way of using digital outdoor to drive in-store purchase.   Â
